My favorite childhood story is "The Cat in the Hat" my Dr. Seuss. I really love all of Dr. Seuss's books. The silly rhyming words are fun to read out loud. This picture was taken at Child Development Center where we were celebrating Dr. Seuss's birthday. We had a pajama day with the cat visiting us and reading of stories. We had a great time.

Have you seen http://www.seussville.com/ ? The website is FANTASTIC!!! In the Educators section they have an area where you can tie in a Dr. Seuss book for each month of the year with printables too! One of our centers uses Dr. Seuss throughout the entire year and offers monthly ways that parents can do activities at home with their children by ideas from this site. What other great things have you done with Dr. Seuss day?
